Privacy & cookie policy

SharpXI collects almost nothing about you, and nothing at all without your permission. This page says exactly what the site does — which is short, because it does very little.

No accounts, no personal data

There is no sign-up and no login on the public site. We never ask for your name, your email, or anything else, and we don't build profiles of visitors. If you never touch the cookie banner, we know nothing about you individually.

Analytics is opt-in — genuinely

The site uses Google Analytics 4, but only if you say yes. Until you click Accept on the cookie banner, no Google script loads and no cookies are set at all. Click Decline and nothing ever loads — no cookies, full stop.

Your choice itself is stored in your browser's localStorage (under the key sxi-consent), not in a cookie. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us; it's simply how the site remembers not to ask you again.

What analytics sees if you accept

Once accepted, Google Analytics sets its cookies (such as _ga) and reports aggregate, anonymous usage:

We use this for one thing: seeing which pages are useful. We don't use it to identify anyone, and we couldn't — it arrives as aggregate numbers. Google processes this data as a data processor; their handling of it is described in Google's privacy policy.

No advertising, no selling

There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies on this site. No data is sold or shared with bookmakers or anyone else. As the affiliate disclosure says, SharpXI has no bookmaker relationships — so there is no one to share your data with, and no incentive to.

Selections you build

The tool at /app stores your in-progress selections in your browser's localStorage so they survive a page reload. The free screener and player-stats pages do the same for your slip — the picks you star or tick to build and share — under the key sxi.formslip.v1, so it follows you across the screener and from one fixture to the next. Either way the data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can wipe it with the slip's “Clear all” button or by clearing your browser's site data.

Your bet record

If you log a bet to My record in the tool, we store that selection — the price you took, the model's numbers at the time, and (after kickoff) the closing price — against your account so we can show you your closing-line value over time. It's your own record, used only to show it back to you; we don't sell it or use it for marketing. You can remove a single entry, or wipe the whole record with Clear my record, at any time; deleting your account removes it too.

Server logs

Like any website, the server (a VPS) processes standard request data — including IP addresses — transiently, to serve pages and keep the site secure. We don't use it to identify or profile visitors.

Your choices

You can change your mind at any time. Decline the banner, or clear the site's data (localStorage) in your browser settings — that resets the banner and revokes any consent you'd given. Because we hold no personal data about you and there are no accounts, there is very little to request from us — but under UK data-protection law you're still welcome to ask.
